I bought a 2001 savage and put 5000 miles on her without a problem. then one day I started her up and rode about 1 mile and she stalled? started her back up and rode about another mile and she stalled again? started her up a third time and she was fine for the rest of my ride. I thought I might have some bad gas. about one weak later she started doing this again (with different tank of gas from different gas station) this time she wouldn't even idle when at a stop sign. I check everything I could think of but nothing helped. I finally pulled the spark plug and it looked fine no fouling at all, but since I had it out I changed it with a new one.....It has been 2000 miles since and the problem has not returned........just thought I would share that with you all..... spark plugs can do some funny things????
